Our New Life Ch 4

Chapter 4
I grin at Daniel, and he stares back at me. "Um, Kimmy, this isn't the best place," he says, in a whisper. I feel something hard poking my stomach, "Is that…" He nods. We get up, and wipe the dirt off ourselves. I turn to the group, "Um… this is Daniel, and Daniel, these are my friends." "Hi," Daniel says, waving. Winry smiles, "Wow, Kim, you got a nice guy." The others just stared at him.
Maybe I should describe Daniel. While I was the beauty of the female bunnies, he was the male version of me. He has short black hair, a nice face, green eyes, a slightly tan body, and just the features to make him good. Not to mention his black ears, and tail match perfectly.  I never thought I would fall for a guy, or my friends either, but Daniel is the exception to the rule. What was weird, though, before the virus, I was black hair, green eye, and Dan was a blue eye blonde. My, the tables have turn.
Vivi walks around Daniel, "Wow, Kim, he is nice!" Daniel smiles, and I giggle. "Sorry, Vivi, he's mine." I hug him, and he laughs. He looks around, "As much as I like being a mannequin as the next guy, what are you ladies doing?" We look around, all of us completely forgot what we were going to do. "Um," Winry says, "We were thinking of going to the mall. Want to join us?" "Well, I am here, so I suppose I could," Daniel laughs. Crystal walks up, "Well, let's go!" We decide to go in groups. Me, Daniel, and Vivi take Daniel's truck, and Winry, Hikari, Crystal, and Katie, take Winry's car. We make it to the mall in an uneventful trip, but to help pass the time, I told Daniel what the P.E. teacher wanted me to do. We were all hungry and decide to eat at the food court.
After getting food, and finding a seat, we sit down. "Hey, I heard some good news," Hikari whispers. We look around, but listen in. "There are people revolting against this society. There's a small group, but the government is against it. They try to stop it if they can," she whispers. Crystal nods, "I heard the same. Also heard of a possible rumor. Soon, some of us might have to wear collars, and be 'owned.'" We look at her, "Basically, all full furries, and all dog people will have to wear collars." The rest of us look around. "Really? What about the rest of us?" I ask. "Well," Crystal says, "We will all be owned by  normal humans, bunny men, and possible cat men. The cat men are questionable, because they are still too distracted." "Well, I got a plan," Winry announces, "If that comes the case, you can become mine. With the exception of Kim, Katie, and Daniel, of course." The group gives a nervous laugh. "Wait, what about the lady rules?" I ask. The group shuts up, and thinks.
Lady rules. The main reason why we hate this society. Basically why we were dressed the way we were, and had to deal with our stuff.  I heard about the rumor before, and for the adoption Winry proposed, there was one problem. If any guy wanted one of them, they instantly get the person. Even if Winry and Daniel would go at it, Daniel would win, simply because he was a guy.
"Why don't Daniel and Winry offer for us, if the rules come to that?" ask Crystal. "That would work," laugh Daniel, looking at me, "Want kids, honey?" I laugh, "As long as I am not the box." Me and Daniel laugh, while the group stares at us. "I don't get it," Winry says. I stare at her, "Pregnancy, silly. I don't want to be pregnant!" The groups laughs, and we eat.
As we ate, a group approached us. It contains 2 female bunnies, 2 male bunnies, and 2 normal humans, one female, one male. The normal males says, "Hey, we want this table. Move out." I look around, seeing a lot of empty places, "Sorry, this table is taken," I say. The guy gets mad, "Hey, Blondie! In case you don't know, ladies listen to men! Now move!" Daniel stands up. Daniel was about 5' 7" without his ears, and the guy was about 5' 5". "Apologize to my girlfriend, friend," Daniel says calmly. One of the bunny girls giggles, "Hey cutie, you can't count, can you? There's three guys on our side, and only one on yours." Their group laughs, and a couple of our girls get in a stance that would make it easier to stand up. "I can count, but you forget one thing. I am a guy, and these are my friends. We were here first, and don't have to leave," Daniel says calmly. Our group smiles, but the normal guy says, "Well, you forgot one thing. You are an animal, and I am not! Move!" Daniel stands there, looks the guy in the eyes, and smiles, "Pride is the downfall of you guys." I smiled, because that's one of the phrases I used before the virus. I taught Daniel well. The normal human frowns, and a right hook comes around, hitting Daniel in the side of the face. He drops onto the table, slide to the floor, and then gets up."Daniel!" I shout.  Rather than punch back, Daniel says, "A punch? You scared to talk, and show your stupidity?" We would have laugh, but the guy grabs Daniel, and everyone jumped in the fight.
We sat outside of the room. A cop was currently talking to Daniel, and everyone else was watching the room. Inside that room, Winry was going through some surgery. The guys broke her arm, and also broke a few ribs. The rest of us hard a fair share of bruises, but nothing as bad as Winry. I rub my ear, which hurt the worse, and sigh. Crystal laid on the floor, because her tail got stepped on. Daniel walks back, a black eye distorting his face, and he smiles, "Well, good news, the enemy is in trouble. As for us, well, we have the Winry problem." He sits next to me, and I lean on him. Katie sits there, "Hey, Hikari, when are the meetings?" Hikari looks confused, and then says, "Oh, well, it's random, so I don't know. I can find out. You thinking it, too?" Katie nods. I say, very quietly, "I don't want that to happen again. Look at Winry, she's here. I don't want to see that happen again." I turn my face towards Daniel's shoulder, and start crying. Daniel hugs me. The group sits there, sad, and waited for the doctors. Winry is our friend, of course.
